Achieveing Biodiversity – Post Event

17th June 2024 – 10am – 3pm

Oculus The Gateway Conference Centre, Gatehouse Rd, Aylesbury, HP19 8FF

A Message from our CEO

Thank you so much for being part of the day. The initial feedback is very good and we will continue to build on some of the key takeaway messages from the seminar.

  • The ground beneath our feet is only 50% of our environment, think vertically.
  • If reviewing or launching your NP, include policies supporting Biodiversity.
  • We have 46 Natural Landscapes, 48 LNRS’s and 46 Wildlife Trusts in the country.
  • Look out for Carbon Bank and Heritage Bank Opportunities.
  • Only one (albeit huge) emergency and a lot of opportunities.
  • We all have some green space and it could include our church yard / cemetery.

There were so many more messages and opportunities shared and I think we were able to include a sense of scale so that everyone can participate in the solution.

The exhibitor / speaker details are available here to provide a valuable resource to our parishes and we hope that you will be reaching out to them as you put your council plans into place.

We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did and we look forward to seeing you again at future events.

Kind regards

Mel Woof PSLCC
